Holiday Highlights

The area is well loved for, and justifiably proud of its warm and friendly hospitality, delicious local food and first class service. Lake Garda is the largest of all the Italian lakes, being some 30 miles long and 10 miles across at its widest point. On the southern shores, vineyards and olive trees are in abundance, as are orange and lemon orchards, giving this area a real Mediterranean flavour. In the north the Dolomite mountains form a breath taking backdrop to the Lake.

On our All Inclusive holiday to Lake Garda we stay in the lakeside village of Navene, which is just to the north of Malcesine. Buses to and from Malcesine stop close to the hotel. Malcesine is situated on the eastern shores of the Lake and is one of its most popular holiday resorts, with stunning mountain scenery. There is a gentle and unhurried atmosphere in the ‘Old Town’ of Malcesine, with its picturesque harbour and narrow streets. The ancient castle overlooks the centre and can be seen from miles around. It really is a lovely town to explore and the castle and harbour front offer splendid views over the lake. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and inviting little shops and the promenade has ice cream parlours, pizzerias and pavement cafes. Be sure to take the cable car to the summit of Monte Baldo for some spectacular views towards the Dolomites.

It’s also easy to get around from Malcesine, with lots of ferries criss-crossing the lake from one delightful harbour to the next, while steamers and local buses can take you to some of the other pretty resorts and quaint villages all around the lake. A boat trip across the lake to the beautiful village of Limone is a definite “must do”.

Excursions & Itinerary

Optional Excursions

There are no included excursions on this holiday. Optional excursions are available to book directly at the hotel - subject to availability.

Lake Garda Tour

Come with us and explore by coach and by boat the contrasting scenery around the lake on this relaxing full day excursion. We’ll also visit other lakeside resorts, from the sunny plains of the southern shores to the mountainous region along the northern shoreline. This really is the only way to see all of the Lake in one day.

Grand Dolomites Tour

Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and invigorating air of the spectacular Dolomites, undoubtedly the most beautiful mountains in Italy. This is a day of endless delights as we drive through lush green valleys offering different views around every bend and see snow capped mountains, spiralling Alpine passes and picture-postcard villages with onion domed churches, wooden gabled houses and flower decked balconies.

Venice

One of the highlights of any holiday to this part of Italy is a visit to Venice - the Pearl of the Adriatic. You can see the Bridge of Sighs, the Grand Canal, visit a Venetian Glass Factory and of course St. Mark’s Square. There will be time for exploring the narrow streets bursting with fabulous shops, bartering at the Rialto Market or perhaps take a tour of the city by Gondola - the choice is yours. A ticket for the return cruise into the centre of Venice by launch is included in the cost of the excursion.

Verona

An enchanting excursion to visit the city made famous by Romeo and Juliet. Life in Verona centres around Piazza Bra and the magnificent Roman Arena, which dates back to 100A.D. You also won’t want to miss Juliet’s Balcony or browsing in the colourful shops, department stores and market.
